I have a heavy duty battery switch to go from a resister to another battery.
You can also use another battery for a dump load.
I use the battery for the R. V.
Use the battery for lights, radio etc. . discharge to 50% and then put it as a dump load if your regular dumo load won’t handle the amperage.
